A story about... A Wish

This sort of creeped the leprechaun out. He had heard rumors of transdimensional wells in the past but discarded them as fanciful tales that even more fanciful (and drunk) leprechauns told their wives as excuses for coming home late. 

As he continued to be lowered down, his skepticism turned to incredulity, which led to astonishment, fear and then fascination. 

"Gawd, lad" he said to himself. "Git ahold of yerself! All this greed about gold has caused ye to take leave of yer senses!" With trembling hands, he carefully pulled his hip flask from his pocket and gingerly unscrewed the well worn cap and took a long draw. 

"Larr . . ." he squeaked. "Ahem . . . LARRY! Stop lowering the rope . . . LAAARRRRYYYYYY!" Clearly it was no use. He realized that Larry was well beyond the sound of his voice and saved his energy for more important things-like figuring a way out of here. 

"Well, O'Toole-y'ave gottin yerself into a fine mess this time, haven't ye?"

Then he thought a little more. "Wedda minute, now, I bet ye ken turn this place into a nice little gold factory, wot with all the little kiddies lovin' te pay te get creeped out these days. He took another wee swig from his flask while he continued to descend, dangling and slowly rotating.
