It wasn't what they said it was. Oh sure, maybe the title of being "The Perfect Storm" was exciting, and even glamorous, but truthful? Okay, a pretty good storm, maybe even an excellent storm. "Excellent." Got to picture Bill & Ted saying it to get the flow here about what kind of storm it was.
Petulant storm. That was closer. A moody, petulant storm. Now we're getting there. A moody, petulant, spoiled, whiny, payback kind of storm.
Just who the storm was angry at, and who payed for its anger became immaterial in the wake of the destruction. 18 Known Dead was what the headline cried. It didn't mention the 45 unknown dead. People who forgot to carry ID that day and thus were never identified.
The Perfect Storm. C'mon, what's really perfect about it anyhow. Some moody little storm got blown way out of proportion and went a little nuts. Wonder what it was thinking....
| (Was it thinking of me?)... | It was a stubborn one. It moved so systematically across the countryside... | You'd be moody too, grumbled the storm to itself, if all you heard all day were complaints... |
