In fact the whole thing turned from one disaster to another and He had finally abandoned the whole project, handing it over to the kid. "Gee, thanks Dad!" Where did he learn to be sarcastic, anyway?

Giving up on it got under His craw (but only because He allowed it to,.. nothing bothered Him if He put His mind to it) not because it didn't work out, but because it didn't make sense. He never figured out how to give them free will and get them to do what He wanted at the same time. It didn't seem fair to just wipe them out and start over, since He had made certain promises... Maybe those were the real regrets.
