     I brought the other chair around in front of him so he could see me clearly, and gently stroked the new whiskers on his chin with the blade. The knife glowed hypnotically in the dim light next to his dark, dirty face. There was no point in starting until he was really aware, so I gave him time to shake off the drug. He was nearly there. A new crop of sweat was beginning to bead on his forehead and lip. I idly collected some of the moisture on the tip of the blade and flicked it onto the plastic I had put down to protect the flea-bitten grey-green shag.

His hair was filthy, the disgusting bastard. The dim lighting and oppressive atmosphere must have gotten to me...
